²İİ®tv FMA submits response to FSB consultation on International Regulation of Crypto-asset Activities.
On October 11, 2022, the Financial Stability Board (FSB) published a proposed framework for the international regulation of crypto-asset activities. The core components of this framework were proposals for:Â
recommendations that promote the consistency and comprehensiveness of regulatory, supervisory and oversight approaches to crypto-asset activities and markets and strengthen international cooperation, coordination and information sharing; and
revised high-level recommendations for the regulation, supervision, and oversight of “global stablecoin†arrangements to address associated financial stability risks more effectively.Â
Consequently, the above recommendations were placed for public consultation and ²İİ®tv FMA, following the example of previous and analogous situations, gathered a group of specialists and responded to the 15 questions addressed by the FSB, on December 15th:
Considering the distinguished experts, who worked diligently on this project and the crucial involvement of the members of the Digital Assets Committee (DAC), ²İİ®tv FMA considers that it is well positioned to offer valuable contributions and that the presented submissions on the topics under analysis, may be considered on the final result to the two sets of recommendations.
The Stakeholders' responses will be published on the FSB website unless respondents expressly requested otherwise.
